Working With Lantern

A clear process for moving from conversation to scope, proposal, onboarding, and execution.

Lantern Enterprises supports complex work, so we begin with clarity. Before any engagement begins, we work to understand the need, define the scope, identify the right service path, and establish expectations around deliverables, timeline, access, confidentiality, and communication.

The goal is simple: no vague promises, no unlimited ambiguity, and no confusion about what is included.

Step 1 — Initial Conversation

We begin with a conversation to understand what you are trying to solve.

  • Your goals
  • Your current challenge
  • Your timeline
  • Your urgency level
  • Your preferred support model
  • Your confidentiality or security concerns

Step 2 — Discovery & Assessment

We assess the type of support needed and determine which Lantern division or combination of divisions is the best fit.

  • Lantern Advisory
  • Lantern Systems
  • Lantern Research
  • Freedom Studio
  • Freedom Productions
  • Threadline Intelligence

Step 3 — Scope & Proposal

For most engagements, we prepare a written scope before work begins.

  • Project objective
  • Deliverables
  • Timeline
  • Engagement model
  • Pricing structure
  • Client responsibilities
  • Exclusions and limitations

Step 4 — Agreement & Onboarding

Once the scope is approved, we establish the working structure.

  • Communication channels
  • Document or system access
  • Kickoff meeting
  • Confidentiality expectations
  • Workflow and file organization
  • Key contacts and escalation path

Step 5 — Execution

Lantern begins the work according to the approved scope. Depending on the engagement, this may include research, drafting, systems work, production planning, discovery support, technology support, or workflow design.

Step 6 — Review, Delivery & Next Steps

At completion, we review deliverables, identify open items, and determine whether the work should close, transition to maintenance, or continue through a retainer or next-phase engagement.
